HYPERICE Ups the Ante with Ingage Presentations

Overview:

HYPERICE’s mission is to provide athletes with a set of tools that improve performance by accelerating recovery time, preventing injury and enhancing the body’s ability to move more efficiently. All HYPERICE products--including  the world's first high performance portable ice compression device, a vibrating foam roller and a percussion therapy device--are developed and tested to meet the standards of the world’s best athletes.

The company’s products have an impressive “wow factor” when seen and tested in-person. Unfortunately, it’s not always possible to bring each product to every sales presentation or informational session, especially as HYPERICE increased its marketing and event efforts in order to get in front of more people. As a result, the company relies on its sales team to present in a powerful way.

Challenge:

The company had been leveraging InDesign for its sales and trade show presentations. Known for layouts and PDF exports, InDesign just wasn’t cutting it. Due to a lack of interactivity, HYPERICE’s presentations were falling flat.

The team sought out a tool for the development and display of interactive presentations in order to tell the HYPERICE story in a more engaging way, while effectively explaining the product line and benefits. They also wanted to move their delivery format to the iPad as opposed to a conference room screen or just a verbal presentation.

“We needed to transform the way we presented,” said Jody Weisberg, Head of Creative at HYPERICE. “Still graphics only show so much. We needed a presentation tool that would serve as the next best thing to touching and feeling our products.”

The team at HYPERICE began Googling and researching tools, and discovered Ingage Presentations, which offered the features they needed, including a simple and intuitive interface; the ability to leverage built-in templates and interactive elements; and real-time editing with controls.

“With Ingage Presentations, the interactivity and intimacy really allows them to ‘get it.’ While there will never be a substitute for using the product, Ingage Presentations is by far the closest we’ve come.”

They were able to quickly learn and implement Ingage Presentations, which altered the way audiences interacted with content in sales presentations and at tradeshows. Video, renderings and model photography all came to life with Ingage Presentations, enabling audiences to interact in more intimate and meaningful ways.

“Previously, our therapists and sales reps would give demos, but audiences still didn’t understand the product benefits,” said Jody. “With Ingage Presentations, the interactivity and intimacy really allows them to ‘get it.’ While there will never be a substitute for using the product, Ingage Presentations is by far the closest we’ve come.”

Ingage Presentations also enables HYPERICE to capture emails through the platform. For example, the company places iPads around its booth at trade shows. Attendees can use the iPad to watch product videos and sign up for product demos and massages too. In doing so, they are exposed to the entire product line and can opt to receive the company’s newsletter. The ability to capture emails using Ingage Presentations has been massive for HYPERICE, enabling the company to market to these customers with the insight and knowledge of where they came from, which allows for highly relevant engagement.

“There is a wow factor with Ingage Presentations that you can’t quantify, but it is nothing short of amazing. The benefit goes beyond closing deals in that it has really elevated our brand image by making us appear more sophisticated and tech savvy,” Jody added. “We wanted to raise the bar and raise eyebrows in the process.
